Agents from the Investigative Agency, accompanied by state police, arrested a man named Emmanuel N., alias “El Chorizo,” the alleged leader of the Los Talibanes criminal group, which operates in the northern part of Zacatecas and the southern part of the state.
The arrest took place Wednesday afternoon in the municipality of Asientos during a major operation, following an arrest warrant issued for crimes including kidnapping, aggravated homicide, and extortion.
Authorities revealed that this arrest resulted from several months of investigation conducted by agents from both Zacatecas and the neighboring state. The arrest of this individual, considered a high-priority target, was carried out without a single shot being fired.
Following his arrest, the corresponding warrant was served, and he was transferred to the facilities of the Zacatecas State Attorney General’s Office (FGJEZ), where he was placed at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor.
In the next few hours, the legal status of this man, who operated in the municipalities of Asientos, Tepezalá, Rincón de Romos and Cosío in Aguascalientes, as well as Loreto, Luis Moya and Ojocaliente in the neighboring state, will be determined.
