During peak days, there was virtually no availability in establishments near the fairgrounds.
Aguascalientes registered hotel occupancy exceeding 90% last weekend, during the second weekend of activities at the San Marcos National Fair (FNSM), solidifying its position as one of the most sought-after tourist destinations in the country this season.
According to information from the Aguascalientes State Tourism Secretariat, the constant flow of visitors generated high demand for lodging, primarily in hotels and accommodations located within or near the fairgrounds.
During peak days, there was practically no availability in establishments near the fairgrounds, reflecting the strong influx of national and international tourists who arrived to enjoy the cultural, artistic, and entertainment activities.
Currently, the state offers 8,152 hotel rooms across 208 establishments, in addition to nearly a thousand more options on digital platforms like Airbnb, allowing it to cater to diverse visitor profiles and budgets.
State authorities indicated that occupancy rates continue to rise, and therefore recommended that those planning to visit the fair in the coming days book in advance.
The expectation points to a further surge in hotel demand during the upcoming weekend, driven by the long weekend and the final stretch of one of Mexico’s most important festivals.
